I sooo want all of you to know about it..

Hey all... I just finished up reading 'The White Tiger' by Aravind Adiga ( yes i do take out time from my hectic and busy life for some good reading !) and i thouroughly enjoyed the novel. I dont know how many of you have read it already but for those who haven't and for those who are on the not so dark side of India ( ya, thats true, there are just two sides to INDIA, one the dark side with the dark people ie the slaves ;and the other, not so dark side - the masters who rule on the slaves) I must say - get one now! :) Every line this author writes is amazing - the sattire , the humour, the intricacies through which he takes the readers is mind bogglingly unrealistic, in a good way. It is a story of a dark man through his transition from the dark side to the bright and when you read it you ll get to know that its not all that :).He says that there is no caste, creed, religion that classify people. There are only two kinds of people - one with small bellies and others with big bellies. The small bellies - who are satisfied with what they are, they are not corrupt, they are not greedy for more, not hungry, have adapted themselves with the everyday fight for money, meagre food, simple clothing, serving their masters. And why not, Indians have a history of slavery with no mind of their own, they do what they are told to and they are quite happy with it. Indians have been slaves since time infinite and those who think we got freedom when the bell stroke 12 at midnight , 15th August 1947 are still in the dark. The author points out the fact that most of us are actually happy in slavery and why not if we can worship Hanuman - the biggest slave God of all times - then why not?
Then there are the big bellied people - the masters, who are always hungry for more and their belly grows and grows in a random fashion. They have all the luxuries and even if they dont they desire to get all of it- their greedy beaks sticking out with all that fluid to lubricate their crimes and get ready for more and in the process earn their a** off. These people have no conscience, they even feed their own babies with some hidden purpose. They may comprise of the dark people who have broken from the coop and entered into this side , the brighter side of India. Now they also belong here.
I loved reading the whole novel, this was just one theory of his that he wrote, there are many like this one and even better. Enjoy them when you read.
' the book of your revolution sits in the pit of your belly, young Indian. Crap it out, and read. '
