A painting is made up of many different colours...

Its amazing how sometimes things pop up into our heads and when one analyses it, it turns out to be a new concept altogether of which, sometimes one is proud of :) . Well, i guess thats how perceptions shape up in our minds. And lets just say , I recently got a reason to feel proud of ;).
This morning sitting at my usual place in the office while I was staring at the day's calender I read to myself the saying on it which said - A painting is made up of many different colours, each one important and necessary- and at once i found my aesthetic mind cycling like mad and wierd thoughts and events jumbled up which made me realise how true the saying was. Often one thinks in a team the futility of a member in a particular work involved but the fact is that if one is involved in a team then every member of the team is important and the mere presence of that member makes a hell lot of difference.
When a child paints - if you have observed( you must start observing things, my boss says thats its a rare trait and particularly seen in females, I guess it s true and i am proud of it too :) ) - the child generally chooses one colour, his favourite one and no matter what he draws he paints it with the same colour ..... why? cause then, at that early age, when he is not worldly wise , he doesnt know the importance, the necessity of different colours in his life. He doesnt know that every colour has its own role to play on a canvas. At that early age life is all about him, he doesnot have responsibilities , no authority , no work , no compulsions. He doesnt understand the value of a family. He sees the world in his favourite colour. Then what do we, adults do? we teach him, we teach him the importance of each colour, we teach him how every part of the canvas has to be coloured with a specific colour. And then when the child starts picking up different shades and colours in the right, suitable manner; its then when we feel proud of that canvas he has painted. And as the child grows older he begins recognising different shades of the same colour- such detailing, such intricacy- cause now he has started understanding the world. The importance of his relationships. He understands that life is not all about him,but also his family, his friends, his peers and his responsibilities towards them. He starts forming perceptions , and thats when things start popping up into his head :)
